Didsbury Festival – Saturday 11th June

Date: May 11, 2016 Author: catherine Categories: Archives

Your Galaxy Needs You…

Cavendish will be participating in this year’s Didsbury Festival parade – with the hope of winning the coveted prize!  We need as many children as possible to take part in the festival parade. This year’s theme is ‘Space’ and Cavendish’s entry is ‘Aliens’ so we hope to see as many OUT OF THIS WORLD costumes to march behind the Cavendish flag. We’ll meet at St Catherine’s School from 10.15 to 10.45am and the procession starts at 11am.  Please note no dogs or pushchairs are allowed in the parade.

We’re sending out a flyer in book bags with all the information on, as well as some costume inspiration. You can view the flyer here and find out about the Cavendish stall, bouncing castle, face painting and more – all taking place in Didsbury Park.

We also need to abduct some grown up earthlings to help volunteer – whether that’s stewarding the parade or supporting the PTA stall. Please email: We come in peace…

We’ve already had some great ideas from parents who have been searching the internet for costume ideas so we thought we’d share some of our favourites below; as well as a step by step guide to mask making by our very own Carla Smith.

Here is also a good link to a beginners guide to ALIEN face painting!

Chck out for everything that is happening.
