In the 2012-2013 academic year, Cavendish PTA raised over £21,000 in funds to benefit the children at Cavendish Community Primary School. These funds are then used to benefit of all of the children at the school by purchasing supplementary resources which are not available within the standard school budget.

How Are Funds Allocated?

School staff make a ‘pitch’ to the PTA at meetings; citing the reason for the request(s), benefits and costs. The PTA members present then vote and make a decision, based on the majority vote, or request further information. If the vote is carried, the PTA then make a donation to the school. All votes carry an equal weight.
