Volunteers help us to run our fundraising events. Volunteering can range from baking for our cake stall, stewarding a disco, helping us pack popcorn and sweets, or running a stall.

Why volunteer?

Volunteering can be a great way to meet other parents/carers and can help build new skills and confidence. There are many reasons why people volunteer. Scroll down to see our volunteer testimonials.

How do you become a volunteer?

When announcing our events we will send out a volunteer form to complete via school email and class WhatsApp groups. We will also include it on the event page.

If you are not on your child’s class WhatsApp group please email us and we will put you in touch with your class representative who will add you to the group.

What does volunteering involve?

Each event has different roles but you ultimately have a say in what you do. You can bake a cake, do face paint, run a stall, or steward (and lots of other jobs in between).

What our volunteers say….

  • “As there are limited ways to get involved in supporting the school the PTA is a great opportunity to provide support to raise funds and create events that the school (and at times the wider) community enjoys.”

    Jane Watt, Parent

  • “I enjoy seeing current and "old" faces in a more relaxed setting than a parents evening or a lesson. It's a great way to build relationships with families. I enjoy good relationships at work partly because of these community events and I definitely benefit in my classroom from the generosity of the PTA.”

    Gill Day, Teacher

  • “It feels good to be doing your bit to help raise money for the school.”

    Rachael Pardoe, Parent

  • “[Volunteering is a] great way to meet other parents and get to know the teachers who also help out. It’s a great way for your children to see you ‘work’ and to role model the importance of volunteering and giving back to the community.”

    Ellie Hutchison Khan, Parent

  • “ I think [the PTA] play an important part in school life and I want to do my bit where I can.
