Didsbury Festival

On Saturday 10th June, Cavendish took park in the Didsbury Festival procession. This year the theme was the King’s Coronation so we called on the school community to join us dressed in their finery for our own Cavendish Coronation, and wow did they deliver!

We had Kings, Queens, princesses, beefeaters, a bishop and even a red arrow! The wonderful TA’s at the school constructed an amazing golden carriage, and ahead of the festival we had a Crafternoon where there children made flags, hobby horses and crowns, which made quite the sight as they were paraded through the streets of Didsbury.

The icing on the cake was that Cavendish was awarded “Best in Procession”. We love our community and are so grateful to everyone who joined us on what turned out to be a scorcher of a day!

A special thanks to Ben Hirsch for these wonderful photos.
